AYU Members’ Drinks with Hurst Contemporary
Our recent AYU Members’ Drinks took place at Hurst Contemporary during an exclusive, private viewing at their inaugural exhibition 'Figurative Impressions: Interwoven Perspectives'.
Our guests had the unique opportunity to delve into the world of emerging and mid-career artists, gaining insights into their innovative works and diverse perspectives. It was an inspiring evening filled with rich conversations and new connections, as members networked with fellow professionals from various funds and family offices while enjoying the artwork.

Hurst Contemporary is an independent art gallery based in London. The initiative of the gallery is to showcase the work of innovative artists from around the world, with a strong focus on emerging through to mid-career level.
Figurative Expressions: Interwoven Perspectives explores the concept of artists who specialise in figurative subjects, bringing distinct viewpoints, styles, and interpretations to their creations. These collections acknowledge the distinctive essence of each artist’s imbuement to represent the human form. This recognition underscores the thought that every artist approaches their portrayal of the human figure with a personal repertoire of experiences, influences, and creative insight. A myriad of processes shape these perspectives, most notably the choice of subject matter, the application of artistic techniques and the communication of underlying themes or messages. Ultimately Interwoven Perspectives celebrates the diversity and individuality inherent in artistic expression, whilst emphasising the profound ability of the human form to evoke emotional and narrative significance within each artist’s practice.
