We sat down with long standing AYU Partner, William Hylton of Hylton Goods to talk new collections and quality craftsmanship.

Hi William, tell us about Hylton Goods and your core characteristics.

I started Hylton Goods four years ago, concentrating on producing collections that highlight the value and beauty in genuine Luxury. Too often today’s luxury brands are focused on trends and marketing their products as symbols of wealth. My handmade in England weekenders whisper you have good taste, rather than shout about it. 

Tell us about your new collection of bags?

Our most recent collection focuses on weekend bags, all handmade in England using only the finest, responsibly sourced, materials from England, Scotland, Switzerland and Italy. We have a few styles that each have a distinct feel and aesthetic, from our tweed bags to our full leather bags, the pinnacle of our collection.

How do you go about designing a new range?

My design philosophy is simple; clean, traditional designs that utilise the best materials you can find, built with the most experienced hands you can find.

What make your bags stand out from the crowd?

We value longevity over excitement, style over fashion. We tread that fine line between achingly beautiful elegance and being a bag you can chuck around on a long trip or flung in the back of a well-run defender.

So perhaps standing out from the crowd is the wrong phase. This bag will be your companion on your travels for as long as you need it, something you can always trust. Like an old friend that never lets you down.

What makes a Hylton Goods weekender a good investment?

It is in the carefully selected materials where the bags come into their own as an investment. Each element from the Swiss precision zips to our suedes and leathers that have been meticulously handpicked to endure and develop.

Our materials and English craftsmanship is where each weekender turns from just a purchase to an investment.

Yes, we are incredibly proud of our bags at Hylton Goods. So proud and confident in our materials and our craftsmanship we offer a lifetime promise to all our clients with our made in England products.  

We also offer free returns, so just in case these weekenders aren’t for you, you can simply return them. We don’t think you will... but just in case.
