London Hedge Fund Week was a festival of alternative finance and investment - a series of events for hedge funds, family offices and institutional investors in London, hosted October 17th-23rd, 2022.
AYU Hedge Fund Weeks encompass events hosted by AYU, our partners and other major players in the alternative investment space. They are points in the calendar when thousands of industry participants are gathered in major centres around the world.
Our team and community hosted a range of events across the week, whilst also promoting the events hosted by our partners and peers. Our goal is to contribute to the growing and thriving global market place of ideas and capital in the alternative investing world.

Some highlights from the week…
The Emerging Manager Conference
The AYU Emerging Manager Conference, in partnership Jersey Finance, was a boutique day for emerging funds, allocators, advisors and mentors (those from established funds, sharing their experience) to exchange industry perspectives and develop connections within the space.
We explored what different allocators are looking for and how best to approach them, gained insight from those who launched funds in all climates, and learnt how best to engage family offices, amongst much else.
As with all AYU events, the number of guests was strictly limited and the ratio of types of businesses in the room carefully controlled, permitting as much value realisation from the day as possible for everyone there. We don't do big. We do valuable.
Huge congratulations to the AYU Pitch-Off winner Haven Cove Capital Management Ltd and their star Emma Hague, who captivated us with her motivations and compelling philosophy. Honourable mentions to Ray Dillet of Bridge Partners too, who came a close second.

The Digital Asset Fund Conference
The AYU Digital Asset Fund Conference was a highly concentrated and boutique day built around hedge funds running crypto strategies.
The newest category of hedge fund investing continues to grow exponentially, with both new managers entering the game and established funds carving-out dedicated offerings.
The day gave both managers and allocators the chance to understand this new wave of ‘grown-up’ institutional investing in digital assets.
We covered operational alpha in crypto funds, institutional digital asset strategies and the return of the Fund of Fund, to name a few topics, with plenty of space to network amidst our panels.
Big congratulations to the AYU Pitch-Off winner ValidAlpha and their CEO Hugo Langéen, who won the AYU Pitch-Off for a second time in 2023, following their victory during Switzerland HF Week in March! Thank you to all our other contestants and judges who participated and contributed.

The AYU Charity Oktoberfest Day
Wrapping up our London Hedge Fund Week, The AYU Charity Oktoberfest gathered AYU members and guests in a private pop-up pub at the centre of Battersea Park, one of London's most glorious green spaces.
Roaring fires, foaming steins, soft pretzels and a sizzling bbq greeted our guests for a convivial and cosy Autumn afternoon, as we capped off a fantastic week. This one will definitely be making a comeback next year!
