A fabulous day of chukkas and champagne attended by over 300 of the alternatives industry professionals and over £30k raised The Prince’s Trust.
The inaugural AYU Charity Polo Cup, an eagerly awaited extravaganza, firmly established itself as a celebration that seamlessly blended generosity, sportsmanship, and a common aspiration to effect positive change. Nestled amid the trees in leafy green Richmond, this magnificent event unfurled at Ham Polo Club and was attended by over 300 professionals of the family office, hedge fund and wider alternatives industry.
Distinguished polo teams, playing alongside AYU members, showcased their finely tuned skills in an exhilarating display of tactical brilliance and unmatched horsemanship. Beyond the thundering hooves and fiercely fought matches, it was a day for guests to mingle, host, and meet new connections whilst enjoying the delicious food, sampling the Chapel Down bubbles and admiring the AYU Concours d’Elegance. A vigorously fought Silent Auction saw attendees winning lots including a tour of the McLaren Tech centre, Wine tasting with Hedonism, a limited edition Matisse print, signed sporting goods from the likes of Anthony Joshua and Messi and a luxury stay for 4 in the Maldives. The day culminated in the AYU Charity Polo After Party, where guests enjoyed the London sunset around the fire pits and even cut some shapes on the dance floor accompanied by our resident DJ and Sax player. A truly excellent evening to end what turned out to be a highlight of the AYU events calendar so far!
The AYU Charity Polo Cup was held in aid of The Prince’s Trust, raising over £30,000 for the charity. This tremendous organisation strives to forge a profound and lasting difference for those who require assistance in their journey toward a brighter future.
